This was sort of an off-the-cuff photo. I was leaving Bear Branch nature center and noticed this goose flying low through the trees. It’s not the best photograph, but I really enjoy photographing birds when there’s something in the background. Since birds are using shot from below, there’s usually only sky behind them. I try, whenever possible, to get an angle that gives the photo depth. Something behind the bird, trees, buildings, water, can all add depth to the photo.
